Create your own vision board!
Creating a Vision Board – easy, powerful and fun!
This is a really exciting topic for me to write about. Not only is it fun to do, but making your vision board will lift your mood and mindset and inspire you to fulfil your dreams!
Your own vision board will help you clarify, concentrate and stay focussed on a specific life goal or different people, things, places you want to bring into your life.
One of the most fun ways of beginning a new phase in your life, is to create a vision board, especially if you are a visual or feeling person or just love to create! This activity will be fun, inspiring, thought provoking and allow you to just BE your creative self.
Creating a beautiful board that reflects your inner self, goals and dreams is like a personal snapshot, a selection of images and words about what you want in your life and what feels right for you. As we know, what we focus on expands. When you create a vision board and place it in a space where you see it often, you essentially end up doing short visualisation exercises throughout the day.
Don’t underestimate visualisation! It is a hugely powerful and important tool. According to the book The Secret, "The law of attraction is forming your entire life experience and it is doing that through your thoughts.”
So, where to start? Creating something you would like to have in your life can seem huge especially when you’ve been on the same treadmill for a long time.
Set aside several hours to put your vision board together. Mostly,I like to do this on my own, with beautiful music on and maybe candles, just to create a relaxed, soothing atmosphere which will allow my thoughts and ideas to flow.
But, if you are feel like being social it can be lots of fun, to invite a group of mates over and hold a vision board party! Get everyone to bring stuff that could be used on a vision board and share. This is a great way to get new creative ideas. Drink wine and eat yum snacks too!

Basic steps for creating vision boards:
Choose a sheet of cardboard, in a colour that you love.
Beg, steal or borrow a pile of magazines and grab a box of coloured pens or paints, stickers, glitter, things from nature – whatever rocks your soul.
Now, just go for it! Think of EVERYTHING that you would like to be or have in your life right now in order to create what it is you are wanting, or EVERYTHING that is related to a specific goal you have.
Find pictures to illustrate them or draw or paint them.
Make captions stating clearly what you want to bring into your life.
I can absolutely assure you, you will love doing this – it will lift your sense of being to see new possibilities and will give you realisation that you can have this life!
I created my first vision board 2 years ago now. Almost everything on it is now in my life, but I keep it to remind me what is important to my wellbeing and what I still want to strive for. Time to create a new one I think! EXCITING!!
Go on, do it! I would love to know how you go and how you feel after doing this – even better, send a photo!
